Time Marches On

I cant believe its been over 3 weeks since I posted...Sorry all.

It has been quite hectic around here. I have an Aunt who is quite ill and I have been getting ready for a visit to see her while I still can.

Stamping time has been shaved off so a massive degree. I hope to get back to it in full throttle before long.

Have a wonderful day...

Heres some of what I have done recently.

**********************

Riley is a campin'. He is such a resourceful moose. The entire image was colored using copic markers. Textures were created using rubbing alcohol in a mister bottle.

This lovely house mouse stamp (puddle fun) is on loan from my friend Anne. I chose to make the puddle more of an island. I think it works!!
I tried to limit myself to one stamp set and one set of sentiments to create this birthday card. I limited my use of ink colors to one and then used SU markers to color the image.
Copic Markers helped me to create this wonderful fall card. I love the realness of the colors.
I used Copic markers and spritzed it with rubbing Alcohol to make the background paper. I was amazed at how it turned out..I really thought it was colorful and cheery.

Oregon/Washington Stamp meet/Swap complete

Yesterday was a riot...A group of three of use traveled from Portland Oregon to Redmond Washington for a Meet. We had a lot of fun, made cards, and learned a couple new techniques.
Faux Silk was new for me.

Another week--

This has been another crazy week. Not much stampin here. I have been getting the couse ready to sell so to say the least it's been busy. We did get the landscape finished, so the outside looks better. Now to the inside...YUK!!!

I would rather pull teeth than clean house. I have so much stuff it is a hard place to start. I did list a few things on Craigs List and sold one of the riding lawnmowers. (Yes we had two)

When my father and mother moved in with us they brought 40 years worth of stuff with them, since Dad died in 06 and Mom is in a care facility...Its time to declutter my life. Going through years of pictures and stuff takes forever.

Hopefully this next week I can relax a bit...

Happy Mothers Day....

I spent some time with my Mom today. She is in a care facility and has some real problems with dementia. We just chatted for a while, I read the local newspaper to her as well as the flyer from her church.

I hope each and every one of you spend a few minutes at least in reflection on your childhood and remembering your Mothers.

I have been making just a few cards. Due to the fact we listed our home and are planning a move, I have spent most of my time cleaning out 15 years worth of junk...I THINK I'M CALLING MERRY MAIDS!!!!

Please check my SplitCoastStampers Gallery for recent pictures of the cards over the last month.

The lost week and a half

It has been a very busy week and a half with lots of changes happening. My mom is having a really difficult time and her memory decreases with each day. I have been spending more time with her and not as much time stamping. I am adding a link to my SplitCoast Gallery so you can see what I have been making. Hopefully I will get back to posting on here next week. Thanks for stopping in.

Here are a couple fun card for the color challenge here

All of the following were drawn by Marianne Walker of Copic Markers. During a great class held on the 11th of April she blessed us with a full sheet of really cute drawing. They are closely spaced on the sheet so I did do some inventive design layouts. THANKS AGAIN MARIANNE!!!

This card was done using something acrylic...I used this wonderful Martha Stewart stamp, colored with Copic Markers and I really like how it turned out.

I got happy mail from Hanna Stamps
My Dad was always out on his tractor, in fact this was taken just months before his passed away. The new Riley stamp of him on his tractor reminded me so much of my Pops I thought I would add a picture of him also.

Here is Riley on his tractor

I love Hershel and Lillian from Holly Berry House. I think they are just too cute!!

This is one of the current hostess stamps from Stampin' Up called For a Friend. You can get this stamp set for free. Just contact me and ask how.
My Web Site
This is still one of my favorite sets called Heartfelt Thanks from Stampin Up. The sentiment is from a retired set called Brighter Tomorrow. I love the scripting. The white decorative paper was from Costco.
