Miss you Dad

MY DAD............ 3 years ago today was one of the worst days of my life. I lost the man of my life from a combination of old age and a tired body. Ray McKinley passed away today in 2006..I miss the fun times we had, the support he always willingly gave, and the strong love his family always felt from him. Ray had the biggest heart and was truely loved by all his friends and family. Dear POPS you are missed!!

I am not longer attached to an IV

I got the IV out today and now I go on Oral antibiotics for 1-3 months depending on blood tests. I can finally take a long hot shower and not be afraid of getting the IV site wet. I do not have to go back to the doctors for a month. We will do x-rays and more blood tests @ that time.

And the saga continues...

Hello to all...
I am really wishing I was feeling better than I am. I have made marked improvement in the last couple of weeks. I am still on antibiotic, but the SED rate is still over 100, which indicates some sort of inflammation somewhere. I have not been making cards as I am still too weak to sit in the craft room...maybe next week.

Back to the doctor today...

I go see the Infectious disease doctors today. Yes I am still on antibiotics, but I do feel better and slightly stronger than I did. Here's hoping all goes well....

Getting Stronger

I feel that I am improving. Just a bit stronger every day. I now can stay awake for more than 5 hours and not feel like I am going to die. I will be going to the doctor on Monday. Just a chance to review all the blood work and chemistry that I had drawn while in the hospital.

Back Home Again

I had been home from vacation for 5 days when I ended up in the hospital for some unknown source of fever. I hit a high of 105.6 and was admitted the next day. After a fist load of test...nothing definitive. They sent me home today still on anti-biotics....I feel like a weak kitten..
Thanks for all my friends for the calls and cards....HUGS

You never know how much junk mail you get until it is all laid on the table for 6 weeks...OMG what a pile of junk!!!! I have been trying to sort through it and catch any little bills that arrived while I was gone...what a mess.

I have over 500 pictures from New Zealand to sort and post maybe I will get to that next week...

New Rules

As a Stampin' Up! Demonstrator we have had to sign a new agreement not to promote other stamp companies. I have decided that at the present time I will sign the agreement, but I have also decided that my blog is my site and I have the total right to decide what I post on it. If I am forced to choose which way to go...I will withdraw from SU.

getting ready to go

I am almost packed and now I am thinking this is a lot of work.

I will be leaving in a few days to visit family overseas. My only regret is that hubby has to work so he is not going. He and my son will be watching the house and the critters.

Wish me luck....nine different take-offs and landings...

I will be back on in September

Fun Times

Sunday night I headed down to Coos Bay to spend a couple of nights with my wonderful MIL. She will be 89 on the last of June and she is so awesome. Very active with her card games and meetings with friends. We headed out to Charleston to get some licorice jelly beans for DH and then hit the shops. ( I had a hard time keeping up with her. ) Sunday evening we had dinner with my SIL and her DH and well as MIL.

Monday morning I had the honor of hanging out with the infamous CAMBRIA (my niece) From Our Craft Lounge. We met with some other talented stampers then hit the local stamp store in Coos Bay...oh what fun. The evening was spent stamping with Cambria at her home....what a great two days. I love my family.
