Monday technique challenge was to use the faux cloisonne' technique. Here is the link to this wonderful method of creating. http://www.splitcoaststampers.com/forums/showthread.php?t=331436
This is the one I goofed up. It is the standard size. I did use a lot of scrap piece to make the background on this one. Its too big, but it was fun to do.
Thursday was to use the computer to make a card. I chose a photo that my SIL sent me and in return made a card that I am sending to her.
For the second card, I decided to use the computer to find a new color combo that I had not previously tried. This is really rust and wild wasabi. I used rub-ons for the main images.
The card I chose to make was for the sketch challenge is one that I made for my Mothers birthday which is coming up on the 13th.
The Ways to use it challenge was its in a note..It was to be related to a song. I had just received this new rose stamp...you have it "yellow rose of Texas was stuck in my head for all day.
The Inspirational challenge was a beautiful blue bedroom. I'm not sure how I got there, but night time...dark...stars..if you follow closely you can get there too!!
This one is a stamp from Holly Berry house called large rose. I used a blender pen working the color from the outer edge into the middle. I then added some stickles for a bit of sparkle.
The last one in this set is also from Holly Berry House called Summer Breeze. Again I just used a blender pen to pick up a little color and add it to the medallion.
It is with deep sorry that I had to make these cards. The top one is for my sister In law that lost her father this last week. As someone who lost my father just over a year ago I sure understand the pain she is going through.

This has been a busy week. My mom is not doing well she keeps falling and so we had a meeting with the care facility. They are putting a body alarm on her clothes so the staff can tell if she is trying to get up. This pains me so, as she has always been really independent...but at the same time, I dont want to see her with a broken hip or arm from falling to the floor.
